3 \u2013 Professional Development Materials<\/h1>\n

September 2013 \u2013 January 2014.<\/span>\u00a0Use the products from Parts 1 and 2 of the project to create professional development materials to support teachers\u2019 use of the DLLP for the purposes of instruction and formative assessment.<\/p>\n

February 2014 \u2013 August 2014.<\/span>\u00a0Conduct a pilot professional development session using the new professional development materials. We will also conduct focus groups to get feedback on the pilot professional development and revise materials as needed.<\/p>\n

September 2014 – June 2015.<\/span>\u00a0Prepare professional development modules and supporting materials with input from WIDA PD specialists.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

January 2016 – June 2016.<\/span> Conduct a pilot implementation study of the DLLPs in K-5 classrooms in three central California public schools. Teachers will begin the study by participating in a professional learning day about the DLLPs and formative assessment. Monthly Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) will assist teachers as they support their students\u2019 language development in the content areas through the use of DLLPs and formative assessment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
